Religious Group Purchases Plantation Apartments for $133M

A real estate firm, sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), has recently acquired the Ellsworth apartment building in Plantation for a staggering $133 million. The 315 apartments located at 1301 S.W. 80th Terrace were sold to an investment arm of LDS by a partnership between PGIM Real Estate and Stiles Corp.

This purchase equates to approximately $422,222 per unit and is considered one of the highest valuations for a multifamily sale in South Florida this year according to reports from the S. Florida Business Journal.

The Ellsworth boasts an impressive total area of 627,368 square feet on a spacious 4.3-acre site that was previously owned by a Jewish temple before being purchased by developers.

With units ranging from 801 to 1,359 square feet and rental prices starting at $2,640 up to $4,234 per month; residents can enjoy top-notch amenities such as fitness center access, tennis courts,
a pool with spa facilities,
racquetball court availability
and even their own dog park within the premises.
