"Unloading the Buckhead Office Project at a Loss: A Strategic Move"

The Ameris Center, owned by Ameris Bancorp, recently sold for $81 million after being purchased nine years ago at a 10% decrease from its original price. The property spans over 535,000 square feet and was acquired by B Group Capital Management of Miami. This equates to approximately $151 per square foot and is a significant drop from its previous sale in 2015 for $90 million.

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, B Group utilized a loan of $61.9 million from Truist Bank that will mature in June of 2029 to fund the acquisition of Ameris Center. Truist also held the initial loan amounting to $87.5 million which was secured by the property.

B Group prides itself on enhancing properties through strategic repositioning and renovations.
