CSW Announces Plans for 320-Unit Austin Apartment Development

An Austin developer is poised to begin construction on a mid-rise apartment building at the intersection of 3525 Far West Boulevard and Wood Hollow Drive. The only remaining hurdle is obtaining a permit to demolish the Frost Bank currently occupying the site.

According to Towers.net, CSW Development, which acquired the property in 2021, plans to construct a five-story complex with 320 units. As part of its participation in the vertical mixed-use density bonus program, CSW will designate 10 percent (32 units) as affordable housing for tenants earning up to 80 percent of the region’s Median Family Income.

The project’s local design team includes TDI Engineering for civil engineering services, STG Design for architecture work and Ecoland Design Group for landscape architecture. Additionally, there will be approximately 6,000 square feet of street-facing retail space on the ground level.

With over two decades in business and more than $1.2 billion worth of real estate projects completed since its inception in 2004 ,CSW has established itself as an experienced player within this market segment.

This development marks another significant milestone for Austin’s booming real estate scene.
