Berkadia has appointed Louis Friedel as the senior managing director for its Los Angeles and San Francisco mortgage banking offices. With over 20 years of industry experience, Friedel brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. He will report to Cole Schutjer, SVP and co-head of mortgage banking and production operations.
Schutjer expressed excitement about having Friedel join the Berkadia team, stating that he is confident in his ability to lead the West Coast offices. The company has been actively expanding its presence on the West Coast and believes that Friedel’s expertise will contribute greatly to their continued success in providing innovative debt and equity solutions for clients.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Freidel held a position as managing director at TPG Angelo Gordon where he focused on investments in various product types across West Coast markets.
