Nonprofit Acquires Distressed Senior Living Facility in Fort Worth

Buckner Retirement Services, a nonprofit senior living provider, recently acquired The Stayton at Museum Way in Fort Worth for $81 million from Lifespace Communities Inc. Renamed “The Stayton at Museum Way by Buckner,” this marks the seventh senior living community owned by Buckner in Texas.

This class one continuing care retirement community will continue to offer various levels of living and care as residents’ needs change. It boasts 188 independent living units, 42 assisted living units, 20 memory care units, and 46 nursing units within its eleven-story building located in the heart of Fort Worth’s West 7th Cultural District.

Part of the larger nonprofit organization Buckner International which was founded in Dallas in1879; today it strives to protect children, strengthen families and transform generations while also serving senior adults through various ministries.

The acquisition of this distressed facility further expands Buckner Retirement Services’ commitment to providing quality senior housing options throughout Texas.
