Turner Impact Capital Acquires First Property in Twin Cities

Turner Impact Capital, one of the nation’s largest real estate investment firms dedicated to social impact, has expanded its efforts to address housing affordability with the acquisition of its first multifamily housing community in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. Bobby Turner, CEO of Turner Impact Capital commented on this opportunity saying “We continue to expand our housing initiatives and Urbana Court presents an opportunity to bring our successful model to one of the most dynamic markets in the Midwest.”

The 207-unit Urbana Court Apartments located in Brooklyn Park, MN was acquired as part of a final investment from Turner Multifamily Impact Fund II. The newly built apartment complex features a large community center complete with 24-hour fitness center and pool as well as pickleball courts, playground and underground heated parking for residents’ convenience. Units are equipped with modern appliances including full size washers/dryers while sustainability initiatives have been identified by Turner Impact’s fund that will reduce energy and water use throughout all units at Urbana Court Apartments.
