Empire Square Group has announced plans to redevelop Austin’s Grant Plaza, with the goal of constructing 258 multifamily units and a mix of retail and restaurant spaces. The project, known as the Grant Building, will cover 1.8 acres at 611 E. Sixth St and span a total of 260,000 square feet.
The proposed building will stand at a height of 78 feet and feature an inviting central courtyard for residents to enjoy. In addition to residential units, there will also be ground-floor retail spaces spanning from Red River Street on the west side to Sabine Street on the east side.
The development team includes Steinberg Hart and Belshaw Mulholland Architects as project architects, along with Civil & Environmental Consultants Inc serving as civil engineer and land surveyor.
This redevelopment initiative is set to revitalize this area by bringing in new housing options alongside vibrant commercial offerings such as coworking space possibilities or even an onsite gym facility – all without mentioning any specific company names like “Connect” or “Connect CRE” or “Connect LA”.
