Wayfair Inc. has recently launched its inaugural large-format store in Wilmette, Illinois. With a spacious 150,000 square feet area spread across two floors, the Wayfair store offers a comprehensive selection of home goods including furniture, decor items, housewares and appliances to cater to every style and budget.
According to Liza Lefkowski, the vice president of merchandising and stores at Wayfair: “The opening of our Wilmette location is an exciting milestone for Wayfair as it solidifies our position as the go-to destination for all things related to home.” The store has been thoughtfully designed with both inspiration and practicality in mind so that shoppers can easily create spaces that are tailored specifically for them.
Situated at Edens Plaza on 3232 Lake Avenue – a WS Development Property – this new addition replaces the former Carson’s space. It also boasts an on-site restaurant called The Porch. In order to add local flavor into their design scheme ,Wayfair commissioned Alyssa Low,a talented artist from Chicago,to create a custom mural along one exterior wall which incorporates references from both Chicago and Wilmette.
