Prologis Sterling Data Center Plans: Moving Forward

Prologis Inc. is progressing with its plans to redevelop warehouses in Sterling, Virginia into data centers. The company has filed a special exception application to increase density for data centers at two locations on Global Plaza in Loudoun County’s “data center alley.” This move comes as the demand for such facilities continues to rise and aligns with the development trend of the surrounding area.

The site spans approximately 10 acres and currently has a by-right development potential of 261,000 square feet. Prologis aims to expand this capacity to about 436,000 square feet in response to market demands and neighboring developments.

The property comprises two adjacent commercial condo flex industrial buildings totaling around 81,000 square feet each along with their respective parking lots. These structures are part of a larger warehouse park known as Global Plaza South. In addition, Prologis recently obtained site plan approval for another warehouse campus nearby that will accommodate an additional 260,000 square feet of data center space.

This latest update from Prologis showcases its commitment towards expanding its presence within this thriving market segment without mentioning any specific location names or brands like Connect LA or Connect Texas.
