Construction has recently commenced on a new 215-room dual-branded Courtyard by Marriott and Residence Inn by Marriott at 1807 W. Mockingbird Lane. The hotel is strategically located near Parkland and UT Southwestern hospitals, making it an ideal accommodation for visitors as well as travelers arriving at Love Field.
The project is being developed by Dreamliner Global, with Type Six Design and Development serving as the project designer. Soma Construction of Coppell has been selected to handle the construction process which is expected to take approximately 18 months.
According to reports from Dallas Business Journal, Dreamliner acquired the property in November and secured a $33.2 million loan from an entity affiliated with Atlanta-based investment firm Peachtree Group.
Featuring twice the number of rooms compared to a single Courtyard or Residence Inn, this hotel will offer shared back-of-house spaces and amenities for added convenience.
