The Goodyear shopping center is undergoing a major expansion, with new stores, restaurants, and an apartment complex being added. Despite facing challenges during the 2008 recession, the development has resumed under the ownership of Santa Cruz Seaside Company and management by Vestar. Scottdale Development Partners is leading the latest phase of this project.
Located at Cotton Lane and Yuma Road in Goodyear, Canyon Trails Towne Center was originally planned as a 90-acre retail power center. While it has not yet reached full completion, there is significant activity taking place. Recently opened anchor stores include Michaels and Five Below at Canyon Trails Towne Center with Ulta and Burlington currently under construction; both are expected to open in late 2024 or early 2025. Additionally, several new restaurants have recently opened their doors with more on the horizon.
In addition to these developments within the shopping center itself, Embrey Partners has acquired approximately 13 acres for a separate project: a modern apartment complex consisting of 284 units located northwest of Canyon Trails Towne Center which will be available for occupancy later this year.
