"Expansion of Goodyear Retail Center: New Stores and Apartments Added"

A popular shopping destination in Goodyear, Arizona is undergoing a major expansion. The Santa Cruz Seaside Company now owns and Vestar manages the Goodyear shopping center, which will soon feature new stores, restaurants, and an apartment complex. Despite a setback during the 2008 recession, development has resumed under the leadership of Scottdale Development Partners.

Located at Cotton Lane and Yuma Road in Goodyear, Canyon Trails Towne Center was initially planned as a 90-acre retail power center. While it is not yet fully built out, there has been significant progress with two new anchor stores – Michaels and Five Below – recently opening their doors to customers. Ulta and Burlington are currently under construction with plans to open by late 2024 or early 2025. Additionally, several restaurants have recently opened at Canyon Trails Towne Center with more on the way.

In addition to these exciting developments for shoppers and diners alike,
Embrey Partners has purchased approximately 13 acres of land adjacent to
the shopping center for the development of a modern apartment complex.
Expected later this year are move-ins for residents into this upscale community featuring over
280 units.

This update showcases how Goodyear’s retail landscape continues to thrive despite past challenges,
with even more growth expected in years ahead.
