"Statesville Announces Progress on Mixed-Use Project"

The Statesville City Council has granted initial approval to a proposed mixed-use development by a prominent Huntersville developer. The town, located just 40 minutes north of Charlotte, boasts a population of nearly 30,000 residents.

Bowman Development Group is seeking entitlements for their ambitious project on U.S. Highway 64 spanning over 107.9 acres. In addition to single-family homes, the proposal includes plans for 280 apartments and approximately 33,600 square feet of retail space.

Dubbed “River Hill,” this development would be situated between East Broad Street and River Hill Road if it moves forward as planned.

According to reports from the Charlotte Business Journal , the staff report estimates that at full buildout, this project could have an estimated taxable value of $141.6 million for Statesville’s economy. The apartment units are slated to span across five buildings with each building housing up to 56 units while two commercial buildings will house the retail space.

With notable projects like Vermillion Village in Huntersville under their belt already,Bowman Development Group has established themselves as experts in large-scale mixed-use developments within the greater Charlotte region.
