Notes Live Inc. is set to break ground on the Sunset Amphitheater later this year, with an anticipated opening in 2026. The state-of-the-art venue will have a capacity of over 20,000 and is expected to become a major attraction for music lovers.
Spanning more than 46 acres and boasting 250 luxurious “fire pit suites” as well as reserved seating options, this $220 million project is a collaborative effort between the city of McKinney, the McKinney Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), and the McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC). Located northeast of US-75 and SH-121, Sunset Amphitheater will be easily accessible for concert-goers.
The venue plans to host approximately 50-60 concerts per year along with various community events such as graduations and comedy shows. In its first decade alone, Sunset Amphitheater aims to create over 1,300 jobs in the area while generating around $3 billion in regional economic activity.
This highly anticipated project follows Notes Live Inc.’s successful launch of their first amphitheater in Colorado Springs earlier this summer. With its impressive features and potential economic impact on both local communities and surrounding regions alike ,McKinney’s new concert venue promises to be an exciting addition to North Texas’ entertainment scene.
