Primient Invests $400M in Decatur Facility

Primient, a leading food and industrial product company, has announced plans to invest $400 million in its Decatur facility over the next five years. This significant investment will modernize operations, improve sustainability efforts, and enhance employee well-being.

According to Primient’s CEO Jim Stutelberg and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker who made the announcement together, this investment showcases their ambition to be a top partner in the industry both now and in the future. The focus of this investment will be on upgrading infrastructure and refining practices at their Decatur location.

Governor Pritzker also expressed his enthusiasm for this development stating that “Illinois is open for business” while highlighting how they are setting an example by prioritizing both business growth and environmental sustainability.

This move comes after Primient recently relocated its headquarters to Schaumburg where they received an EDGE tax credit. This credit requires a minimum of $40 million invested along with creating 50 new full-time jobs while retaining almost 540 existing ones.

The news was first reported by Connect CRE , showcasing Primient’s commitment towards continuous growth within their industry without mentioning any specific locations such as “Connect”, “Connect LA”, or “Connect Texas”.
