Henderson Park and Lowe are collaborating on a project to transform the office building at 1250 Maryland Avenue SW in Washington DC into a residential complex. The development will include approximately 421 rental apartments, as well as retail and commercial spaces, along with 545 parking spots.
The building, formerly known as Portals I, will offer residents various unit sizes and configurations. Amenities such as a rooftop terrace and pool, resident lounge, and co-working spaces will also be available. The project is set to begin in early 2025.
According to Henderson Park CEO Nick Weber: “We have already started renovating the neighboring Salamander Washington DC hotel. We believe this micro-location has great potential due to its excellent transportation links and vibrant local amenities that this repositioned asset will enhance.”
This joint venture aims to convert an office space into residential units in Washington DC.
