"Microsoft Decides to Keep Bellevue Office Space: A Strategic Pivot"

Microsoft Corp. has changed its plans to vacate all of its downtown Bellevue office space, opting instead to keep some space for its LinkedIn subsidiary. According to industry sources cited by the Puget Sound Business Journal, the technology giant will maintain floors 17 and 18 in the Lincoln Square North tower at 10401 NE Eighth Street.

While Microsoft and Amazon have been leaving their existing leases in the area, other tech companies are taking advantage of this vacant space for expansion opportunities. TikTok, a social media and e-commerce company owned by ByteDance, is doubling its footprint in Bellevue with six floors in Lincoln Square North Tower. Additionally, Skanska recently signed a long-term lease with entertainment company Pokémon for The Eight – a mixed-use development featuring a 25-story office tower – further contributing to Bellevue’s growing tech presence.
