The Texas Instruments Dallas Headquarters is undergoing a major renovation project. According to the Dallas Business Journal, renovations for a five-story mixed-use building at the headquarters campus are expected to begin in July and cost up to $119 million. The project is set for completion in 2027.
Located near U.S. Highway 75 and Interstate 635, the Kilby West building boasts over 500,000 square feet of space.
In recent years, TI has already renovated its Kilby East building by updating office spaces and performing maintenance on an existing high-voltage lab. These buildings are named after former TI engineer Jack Kilby who discovered the integrated circuit – a crucial technology that has driven much of TI’s success over time.
In North Texas specifically, production at their Richardson facility specializing in analog and embedded processing chips is increasing while plans move forward for four additional wafer fabrication facilities in Sherman – all with capabilities on par with their current state-of-the-art facility capable of producing wafers measuring up to 300 mm.
