"Core Spaces Announces Plans to Add 4,000 BTR Units in Six Markets"

Core Spaces, a Chicago-based real estate company, has announced the expansion of its Build-to-Rent (BTR) brand, Oxenfree. With a portfolio of nearly 4,000 homes in development and planned across major markets such as Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Nashville,Austin,and Florida’s Gulf Coast,the company continues to grow.

Currently under construction are seven communities with approximately 1,500 homes and groundbreakings scheduled for spring 2024. One of these developments is Oxenfree at Princeton outside of Dallas which spans over 50 acres and offers 408 single-family homes. Another project is Oxenfree at WeHo located in Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood featuring96 multi-level townhomes.Core has also recently broken ground on five other communities within the last five months.

According to Marc Lifshin,the co-founder and CEO at Core,”After almost two decades perfecting our approach to student housing and conventional resident experience design,it became clear that there was an opportunity for us to bring this same focus on designand hospitality-driven approachto their next phaseof life throughOxenfree.” The company currently manages over60 student housing communities with more than37 ,400 beds nationwide,and has plans for another35 ,000 beds in its pipeline.
