Doe Fund Building 109-Unit Affordable Housing in Bronx

The Doe Fund has successfully secured construction financing for a new affordable and supportive housing residence in the Bronx. The 10-story building, located at 3118 Webster Avenue in Norwood, is a collaboration between The Doe Fund, Urban Builders Collaborative LLC, and architects Curtis + Ginsberg.

This development will feature 109 units including 39 supportive units for individuals and families who have experienced chronic homelessness. Additionally, there will be 70 affordable units available to tenants earning between 40-80% of the area median income.

Residents of this community can look forward to amenities such as an interior courtyard, energy-efficient appliances, a community room with gym facilities and laundry services. On-site support services provided by The Doe Fund include case management assistance along with substance abuse counseling and access to educational resources for employment opportunities.

Funding for this project comes from various sources including NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development’s ELLA Program as well as tax credit equity from Redstone Equity Partners. Financing was also obtained through Bank of NY Mellon and Merchants Capital. This much-needed housing development is expected to open its doors in late2025.
