Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is preparing to commence construction on a state-of-the-art arts and media building. The 85,000 square foot, two-story facility has been designed by BGK Architects and Bora Architects. With an estimated cost of $81 million for the first phase, the project is expected to be completed in spring of 2026.
The new building will serve as a hub for undergraduate and graduate programs within the School of Arts, Media and Communication at A&M-Corpus Christi.
According to President Kelly Miller, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi has experienced significant growth and success in its arts programs.
The impressive facility will feature a proscenium theater with seating for 325 people, as well as a recital hall that can accommodate up to 200 guests. Other amenities include a black box theater, dance studio,rehearsal halls,and specialized labs for instruction in costume constructionand makeup techniques.
