Illinois Funding Program for Manufacturing Promotion

Governor JB Pritzker, along with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center, has announced the launch of a new grant program aimed at promoting local manufacturing in Illinois. The Made in Illinois Grant Program will provide up to $50,000 in matching funds to small- and mid-sized manufacturers for innovation and strategic advancements. This initiative is part of Governor Pritzker’s efforts to support the growing manufacturing sector in Illinois.

The program aims to help manufacturers expand their businesses within the state by providing financial assistance for production enhancements. “This program is designed to meet market demands and drive growth for small-to-mid-sized manufacturers,” stated DCEO Director Kristin Richards.

Illinois recently received a federal grant worth $14.9 million that will go towards expanding electric vehicle charging infrastructure across the state. This further demonstrates Governor Pritzker’s commitment towards boosting economic prosperity through initiatives like these.
