Darcy Stacom, a renowned figure in the commercial real estate industry with over 40 years of experience, has recently launched her own boutique advisory and brokerage firm – Stacom CRE. With an impressive track record that includes two decades as Chair of NYC Capital Markets Group at CBRE, Stacom brings a wealth of expertise to her new venture.
In an interview, Darcy Stacom shared that she believes this is the perfect time for her to start her own business. As someone who possesses market insights and negotiation skills along with the trust of the commercial real estate community, she is confident in making this move.
Throughout her career, Darcy has facilitated numerous iconic transactions such as the $5.4 billion sale of Peter Cooper Village and Stuyvesant Town and the $2.8 billion sale of GM Building. At Stacom CRE, she will offer consulting services including strategy development and ground lease negotiations to meet evolving market demands.
Aside from running her business successfully, Darcy also holds important positions within various organizations such as NYRP where she serves as chairperson while also being part Executive Committee and Board member at Phipps Houses. She actively advocates for inclusivity in real estate opportunities through co-chairing REBNY’s Diversity Committee.
