A highly anticipated mixed-use development in Peoria is set to begin construction this summer. The project, called Stadium Point and led by Steinhauer Properties, will span one million square feet and feature apartments, hospitality options, retail stores, restaurants, and high-end office buildings.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal’s report on the project’s progress since its initial planning stages in 2019, Stadium Point will be built across 17 acres at the Peoria Sports Complex. This complex serves as the Spring Training facility for both the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres teams. Located along 83rd Avenue just south of Bell Road.
The total cost of constructing Stadium Point is estimated at over $510 million.
The first phase of development will focus on site preparation and building 357 multifamily units. The second phase will include a full-service hotel with 220 rooms.
Subsequent phases will add two office buildings totaling over half a million square feet with spacious floor plans measuring around 30 thousand square feet each. Additionally there are plans for approximately sixty-five thousand square feet dedicated to retail space as well as a twenty-eight-thousand-square-foot food hall within these later phases.
