"Summer Start for $500M Peoria Project"

The highly anticipated Stadium Point mixed-use project in Peoria is set to begin construction this summer. Led by Steinhauer Properties, the one-million-square-foot development has been in the planning stages since 2019 and will feature a variety of amenities including apartments, hospitality options, retail stores, restaurants, and high-end office buildings.

According to reports from the Phoenix Business Journal, Stadium Point will be built in multiple phases on a 17-acre site located near the Peoria Sports Complex. The complex serves as the Spring Training facility for both the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres and is situated along 83rd Avenue just south of Bell Road.

With an estimated cost of over $510 million dollars to complete all phases of construction, Stadium Point’s first phase will focus on site development followed by 357 multifamily units. The second phase will bring a full-service hotel with 220 rooms before moving onto additional office space totaling approximately 645 square feet across two buildings featuring large floor plates measuring at least30 thousand square feet each. Retail space measuring at around65 thousand square feet as well as a food hall spanning28 thousand square feet are also planned for future phases.

This major project is expected to have significant economic impact on Peoria once completed but its start date may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances such as weather or other factors beyond our control.
