Contegra Construction Co. has recently finished its second large distribution center at the 3,000-acre Logistics Park Kansas City (LPKC) on behalf of NorthPoint Development. The one-million-square-foot facility, named Inland Port 9, boasts a clear height of 40 feet and features amenities such as 100 dock doors, four drive-through doors, and ample parking space for both cars and trailers.
This is not Contegra’s first project at LPKC; they have previously built an impressive 850,000-square-foot distribution center in the industrial park. With a current total area of over 14.4 million square feet and a potential capacity of up to30 million square feet , LPKC is anchored by BNSF Railway’s intermodal facility.
According to reports from the Kansas City Business Journal , Panasonic has already leased half of this new building in order to support their nearby battery manufacturing plant which is currently under construction. Leasing duties are being handled by Mark Longand John Hasslerof Newmark Zimmer.
