"Skanska Signs Largest Single Lease at The Eight in Bellevue - Firm's Record-Breaking Deal"

Skanska has secured a long-term lease for its mixed-use development, The Eight, in Bellevue, Washington. The 25-story office tower is set to become the region’s largest office lease in nearly three years and Skanska’s biggest lease ever.

According to industry sources, the tenant is Pokémon Company International and they will occupy 526,595 square feet of space with an additional 152,309 square feet for parking. This Japanese game and entertainment company had been considering this space since 2023.

With a current occupancy rate of 72%, The Eight is expected to be completed by Spring of 2024 with the anchor tenant moving in starting January of that year. Broderick Group represented the tenant while CBRE represented Skanska in this transaction through their agents Tim Owens, Scotta Ashcroft ,and Lennon Atteberry.

Designed by Pickard Chilton ,The Eight boasts a spacious open plaza spanning over7 ,000 square feet as well as room for local retail businesses at11 ,000 square feet . Additionally,the building features an impressive1 ,800-square-foot mass timber pavilion.This marks Skanska’s sixth development project within Puget Sound region,and their second one locatedin Bellevue since beginning operations backin2011 .
