"New 20-Story Tower Development Announced for The Weld in Raleigh"

The Weld, a new development in Raleigh near Dix Park, is set to enter its second phase with the construction of a 20-story tower featuring 525 apartment units. The project is being led by real estate firms SLI Capital and Mack Real Estate Group, who have filed site plans for the tower which will also include 20,885 square feet of first-floor retail space.

Amenities at The Weld will be top-notch and include a rooftop terrace, sky lounges and mezzanine units on the top floor. Additionally, an eight-level parking deck with 702 spaces will partially wrap around the tower.

Construction for phase one of The Weld began in summer 2023 and is expected to be completed by summer 2025. This initial phase includes two towers standing at twenty stories each with ground-floor retail space totaling up to approximately six hundred seventy-five apartments.

Perkins Eastman has been brought on as the architect for this ambitious project while McAdams has been selected as civil engineer. With its prime location near Dix Park and impressive amenities planned for residents’ enjoyment,the second phase of Raleigh’s newest development promises to be an exciting addition to this vibrant city’s skyline.
