Subtext, a real estate development company, has recently introduced a new acquisitions vertical. Leading this initiative is Mike Hung, who joins the team as Partner and Executive Vice President of Acquisitions.
Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hung brings with him 15 years of experience in the real estate industry. Throughout his career he has successfully completed transactions totaling over $1 billion in student housing. Previously serving as Senior Vice President of Acquisitions and an executive team member at CA Ventures’ student housing platform CA Student Living, Hung also held a similar role at Waypoint Residential where he oversaw acquisitions and dispositions while launching their student housing division.
Before joining Subtext, Hung founded Citrine Partners – an investment firm specializing in multifamily properties with a focus on student housing. He also has previous experience working for Wells Fargo and BlackRock before becoming part of ULI’s National Student Housing Council.
