SeaWorld Opens Second Onsite Hotel at a Rapid Pace

SeaWorld Orlando recently announced its plans for a new 504-room hotel within the park, with another one in the works. The company is now seeking to construct a 250-unit hotel near Discovery Cove, currently used as a parking lot. This project has an estimated cost of $100 million.

According to reports from the Orlando Business Journal, this six-story hotel will feature over 7,000 square feet of meeting space and a restaurant spanning over 7,200 square feet. Other amenities such as a large pool, bar area and spa are also included in the plans.

The early stages of this development involve collaboration with Atlanta-based architecture firm Cooper Carry and landscape architects from EDSA’s Orlando office. It is believed that Hilton will be chosen as the brand for this new addition.

As one of Central Florida’s largest employers with approximately 5,000 local employees across its various theme parks including SeaWorld Orlando and Discovery Cove in Orlando – SeaWorld is moving swiftly on their second onsite hotel venture.
