GBT Realty Corporation has announced plans to construct a 42,000-square-foot retail center in Kyle, located south of Austin. The center will be anchored by Sprouts Farmers Market and will be known as the Shops at The Brick and Mortar. Along with space for restaurants, the center will also feature additional retail stores spanning 18,500 square feet. GBT acquired the five-acre site for $3.2 million in late last year and is currently undergoing site work with vertical construction set to begin this quarter. Anticipated completion of the shopping center is Spring 2025.
The Shops at The Brick and Mortar will be situated within Plum Creek – a master-planned community spanning over 2,200 acres with approximately 5,000 homes – just a short drive from downtown Austin.
In support of its development efforts for this project, GBT received an initial grant of $300
