Assembly Square Marketplace, a retail park and mixed-use development located in Somerville, MA., has recently secured two major leases. Raymour & Flanigan will occupy 51,834 square feet while Bob’s Discount Furniture will take up 38,163 square feet of space. The owner of this development is Federal Realty.
Raymour & Flanigan will be opening its first store in Eastern Massachusetts while Bob’s Discount Furniture offers a variety of furnishings including mattresses and home accents. These two well-known brands are joining Ashley Furniture and TJ Maxx/HomeGoods to create an expansive shopping experience spanning over 165,000 square feet dedicated to furniture, decor and accessories.
According to David Middleton, the vice president and general manager for Federal Realty: “This concentrated cluster of popular furnishing and home décor retailers creates an even more compelling destination for shoppers looking for one-stop shopping.” He also added that their goal is to continuously provide a fresh and relevant retail experience for their customers as well as the local community.
