A rezoning proposal for a 100-acre plot of land near the Samsung Electronics plant, valued at $17 billion, is currently making its way through local government agencies. The project, named “Silicon Vistas,” will consist of mixed-use residential and commercial spaces spanning 77 acres and industrial space covering 36 acres. Specifically included in the plans are approximately 580,000 square feet of flex and large footprint industrial space on the east side along Justin Lane, as well as 944 residential units, 56,000 square feet of commercial space and civic areas totaling to about23 acres.
Not much information is available about either the project or its developer. However,Sudur Capital’s website mentions Silicon Vistas I & II among their projects with a focus on excelling in pre-development stages.
In July this year,Silicon Vistas Holding LLC purchased two parcels worth $2.6 million that were previously valued at $2 million in2023.Taylor City Council has scheduled a vote to approve this rezoning proposal during their meeting on December14th.
