Plano's $1B Collin Creek Mixed-Use Project Launches in New Year

The Collin Creek Mall in Plano made its grand debut in 1981, but after nearly four decades of operation, it abruptly closed its doors in 2019. However, the property was not left abandoned for long as Centurion American stepped up with a $1 billion plan to revitalize the area. In early 2021, demolition began and construction on the mixed-use redevelopment is set to commence next month.

This ambitious project will feature an impressive array of amenities including 500 single-family homes upon completion. The sprawling development spans over 100 acres near US-75 and will also include a hotel, office spaces, and a state-of-the-art underground garage with room for up to 2,000 vehicles at an estimated cost of $67 million. Additionally, eight acres of parkland and approximately one-and-a-half miles worth of trails will be incorporated into this modern community hub.

With groundbreaking just around the corner for Plano’s new $1 billion Collin Creek Mixed-Use Project , residents can look forward to exciting changes coming their way this year.
