NexCore Group, a healthcare real estate investment and development company, has announced plans to develop Waterway Labs at 16 Tech in Indianapolis. Cushman & Wakefield will provide agency leasing services for the $60 million project. The purpose-built life sciences lab building will offer graduation lab space for growing companies.
The five-story, 100,000-square-foot lab building focused on life sciences will begin construction in 2024 within the innovative 16 Tech district. This hub spans over 50 acres and is located next to the future campuses of Indiana University Indianapolis and Purdue University in Indianapolis.
Leading leasing efforts for Waterway Labs are Jon Owens and Joshua Graham from Cushman & Wakefield. According to Owens, “Waterway Labs will be at the forefront of providing ‘graduation’ space for emerging companies from our research universities as well as startups and established firms.”
