Wolfe Investments plans to invest $33 million in converting office space into apartments in Dallas. The project, which will also consider the addition of hotel rooms, is expected to provide added amenities such as kitchens and washers and dryers for potential guests.
The transformation of the blue building at 211 N. Ervay St. will result in 238 individual units designed by HKS and constructed by Andres Construction. Demolition has already begun on the project, with a projected timeline of one year for completion.
Despite ongoing construction, retail tenants including restaurants may join the existing 7-Eleven store located on the ground level that will remain open throughout renovations.
Originally built in 1958 by developer Leo Corrigan and designed by Thomas Stanley, this office building has been vacant since 1995 but was reopened as offices after extensive renovations totaling millions of dollars were completed back in 2014.
