Kyungshin America Corp. has chosen the Savannah Gateway Industrial Hub, spanning 20 million square feet, as the site for its latest distribution center in Rincon, GA. The South Korea-based supplier of automotive parts will launch a 136,000-square-foot facility in February to support its production expansion.
According to Commercialsearch.com’s report on The Broe Group and their transportation affiliate OmniTRAX , along with Effingham County Industrial Development Authority owning the 2,600-acre multimodal logistics park.
The new Kyungshin facility will import and distribute automotive components for Hyundai Motor Group’s $7.5 billion electric vehicle plant located in Savannah. As a certified supplier for Hyundai, they specialize in wire harnesses used by various automotive companies. This move is expected to bolster the growing Southeastern U.S.’s automotive manufacturing industry while creating around 70 job opportunities and generating over $22 million investments within Effingham County.
