"Dolly Parton Drives Conversion of Nashville Office into Hotel"

Country music icon Dolly Parton, through her company Dollywood, recently acquired the 211 Commerce building for $75 million. While the plans for the building have not been officially announced, sources speculate that it will be transformed into a hotel.

Over four decades ago, Parton opened her popular entertainment destination in Pigeon Forge known as Dollywood. The district now includes two hotels, a water park and a theme park.

This year alone saw the opening of one new hotel in Tennessee by Parton’s company. Last month marked the grand opening of HeartSong Lodge & Resort as part of Dollywood’s second resort.

According to reports from Nashville Business Journal, during her latest hotel dedication event Parton mentioned future plans for more hotels under her brand and even joked about being called “a hotelier” now.

In addition to expanding their hospitality offerings with new hotels, there are also plans to open The Dolly Parton Experience museum at their Pigeon Forge location in spring 2024.
