NAI Hiffman has announced the promotion of John Heiberger to CEO, effective January 1, 2024. Heiberger will continue in his current role as president and brings over two decades of experience in senior real estate finance positions. Prior to joining Hiffman as president in January 2023, he served as U.S. head of portfolio management at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and chief strategy officer at The PrivateBank.
Current CEO Dave Petersen will transition to chairman of the board while industry veteran Dennis Hiffman , who founded NAI Hiffman in 1981, will become founder and chairman emeritus. This executive succession plan has been carefully planned for more than two years.
Heiberger’s appointment coincides with the launch of a new national Advisory Services group that includes an expanded lender services business. Along with lender services, this group also offers project services led by Bob Assoian , currently head of NAI National who has been named executive managing director and head advisor for Advisory Services.
