"New 69-MW Battery Storage System Launches in Stanton"

Wellhead Electric Company, W Power and Energy Vault have introduced the Stanton Battery Energy Storage System (SBES) in Stanton. State and local energy leaders joined company representatives to celebrate the launch of this impressive 68.8-MW/275.2-MWh system, which is one of Southern California’s largest energy storage systems.

With a storage capacity that can power up to 65,000 homes, SBES has the capability to provide clean energy for many residents in the region. This significant amount of stored energy also helps stabilize California’s electricity grid during times of high demand.

According to a press release from Wellhead president Hal Dittmer, “The opening of the Stanton Battery Energy Storage System marks a pivotal moment for California’s energy portfolio.” He further explains that SBES offers an eco-friendly solution for storing large amounts of clean energy while promoting resilience and stability during peak demand periods.

This latest development showcases how innovative technology like SBES is propelling California towards a more sustainable future without compromising on reliability or efficiency.
