New Braunfels River Mill Construction Begins

Casey Development is taking the first step towards realizing its vision of a new mixed-use project in New Braunfels. The company has begun demolishing most of the old mill, which had been vacant and graffiti strewn for some time. This will lead to a new mixed-use development being constructed by Casey Development on the River Mill property, which was closed on in July last year.

Gensler Austin has been hired to create this mixed-used development; it will include residential units, restaurants, bars, retail stores and hotels. Demolition is expected to take between 60 and 90 days before construction can begin – potentially at either end of this year or start of next year – with an estimated two and a half years required for completion.
