Capital Development Partners recently announced a major lease agreement at Central Port Logistics Center, totaling 982,800 square feet. The tenant, Plastic Express, will export over 150 million tons of US-made plastic resin products from this state-of-the-art facility.
Located in Building 11 of the logistics center and served by CSX rail lines, this site is set to be completed in June of 2024. With its impressive capacity for packaging, warehousing and transloading services for over 8,000 TEUs (Twenty Foot Equivalent Units), it is expected to generate more than 200 direct jobs and create an additional250 construction jobs. This building marks Phase I of the industrial park’s development plan which spans across1 ,000 acres with a total warehouse space exceeding5 .5 million square feet – all designed to support the growth initiatives led by Georgia Ports Authority. This ambitious project comes with an estimated costof $155 millionand will not be ready until June2024.
Plastic Express boasts a nationwide presence with operations spanning across50 rail yards as well as owningover30 bulk truck terminals alongside managinga vast networkof full-service warehouses covering approximately4 .2million square feet.
