On April 20th, the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) held its 127th annual event at The Glasshouse to recognize the industry’s contributions to New York City. Industry leaders and public officials gathered for a night of celebration, networking, and culinary experience. REBNY President James Whelan said “Our honorees exemplify real estate’s profoundly positive impact on New York City’s growth and success…Their remarkable passion, vision and ingenuity have elevated our industry and strengthened the foundations of our city.”
The esteemed list of honorees included Barry M. Gosin (Newmark CEO), Mary Ann Tighe (CBRE NY Tri-State CEO), John C Santora (Chairman Cushman & Wakefield NY Tri-State), Dan Doctoroff(Founder/Chair Target ALS ), Elly Pateras(Executive Managing Director Douglas Elliman Property Management ), Fredrick K Marek(Vice Chairman Helmsley Spear LLC ) ,James Nelson(Head Avison Young Investment Sales). They were awarded with Bernard H Mendik Lifetime Leadership in Real Estate Award; Harry B Helmsley Distinguished New Yorker Award; Kenneth R Gerrety Humanitarian Award ;John E Zuccotti Public Service Award ; George M Brooker Management Executive Year award; Louis Smadbeck Memorial Broker Recognition award & Young Real Estate Professional Of The Year respectively .
