"Crowdstrike Founder Hopes for Approval of 'The Parque' in Scottsdale"

The Scottsdale City Planning Commission unanimously supports a new development plan and zoning district map amendment for the former CrackerJax amusement park site. The proposed mixed-use development, known as “The Parque,” is being spearheaded by billionaire George Kurtz, co-founder and CEO of cybersecurity company CrowdStrike. Plans include a five-star hotel, retail and restaurant space, multifamily residences, office buildings, and an open gathering area called the “Central Parque.”

“The Parque” will consist of 12 buildings ranging from one to ten stories high. It will feature a 223-key five-star hotel; 126 units at a hotel-branded condominium; 897 multifamily residences; workforce housing units; new office space totaling 100,000 square feet; over25 ,000 square feet for retail shops ;and nearly35 ,000 square feet for restaurants.

According to reports from the Phoenix Business Journal,the Scottsdale City Council is currently considering approval of this project after receiving unanimous support from the city’s planning commission. This highly anticipated development has been met with excitement as it promises to revitalize this prime location in Scottsdale.
