"Expanding El Paso Operations: A Mexican Food Company's Growth"

A popular Mexican food company has announced plans to construct a $21.3 million warehouse and office complex in the historic Segundo Barrio neighborhood of El Paso. This new facility, spanning 59,000 square feet on seven acres of land, will serve as the company’s U.S. headquarters.

Grupo Bafar, known for their successful Bafar meat brand in Mexico, will be relocating from their current cold storage warehouse at 1601 E. Fourth Ave., also located in Segundo Barrio. The move is expected to take place by 2024.

In addition to this expansion project, Grupo Bafar also owns six Valley Supermarket locations throughout El Paso and Frontier Foods Meat Market on Alameda Ave.

To support this development initiative, the city and county have agreed to provide up to $846
