Many towns have found success in using sports as a means of driving economic development. Some negotiations may be challenging, while others are more straightforward. The groundbreaking for the new stadium is scheduled for January and will be led by the Jacksonville Armada. The team will compete in what is known as “the minor leagues” of professional soccer and this will mark the first dedicated soccer stadium in the region.
