French quantum computing startup Alice & Bob has recently established a Boston office to drive business development in North America and accelerate advancements in quantum technology. Blaise Vignon, the company’s chief product officer with previous experience at Microsoft, Criteo, and NVIDIA, will serve as president of Alice & Bob USA. The focus of the firm is on logical qubits and their cat qubit architecture is expected to be available by 2024.
Under Vignon’s leadership, the new Boston headquarters located in Cambridge will further enhance the capabilities of their cat qubit technology while also establishing a strong presence within key industries. “Our ‘cat qubits’ have garnered significant attention from the American quantum community,” stated Vignon. “Therefore it is time for us to expand our reach across borders.” He added that bringing their products to North America will greatly benefit from its thriving quantum ecosystem and deep-tech venture capital community.
