The construction of 20 and 30 Halletts Point in Astoria, Queens has reached its peak, thanks to the efforts of The Durst Organization and Urban Atelier Group. These two towers will house a total of 647 units and stand at heights of 27 and 32 stories respectively. Handel Architects have designed this mixed-use complex as part of a larger waterfront development that includes plans for a public esplanade, park space, and retail areas.
In collaboration with ArtBridge, local artist Zeehan Wazed has created an impressive mural spanning over six hundred feet on the construction fencing. This installation titled “A City in Motion” offers an immersive augmented reality experience for passersby. The Halletts Point project is a joint effort between NYCHA’s Astoria Houses aiming to provide affordable housing options through the creation of two thousand residential rental units.
This milestone marks significant progress towards completing this ambitious mixed-use development without mentioning any specific names or brands associated with it.
