Baltimore Uplands Master Plan Phase II Breaks Ground

Pennrose, KMJ Uplands LLC, B&W Solutions, and Uplands Community Association have broken ground on the second phase of the Uplands Master Plan in Baltimore. Located at a prominent gateway to Baltimore along Edmondson Ave., this $53.1 million project will transform a 63-acre site from distressed housing complex to vibrant and walkable community.

Phase II will add 150 brand new affordable and workforce apartments as well as comprehensive infrastructure upgrades that support future homeownership opportunities. Additionally, a separate $28.6 million infrastructure project is underway which includes construction of new utilities, sidewalks and roads for improved accessibility within the neighborhood once completed.. When finished with its total investment of $237 million dollars across 63 acres ,the redevelopment plan will provide 719 for-sale or rental homes alongside 10 thousand square feet dedicated to retail space & community amenities .
