Hillwood Acquires Large Infill Property in Fort Worth

Hillwood, a well-known company in the Fort Worth area, has recently acquired a prime city block located in downtown Fort Worth. The property is bounded by 6th and 7th Streets to the north and south, and Calhoun and Jones Streets to the east and west. This site has been owned by Oncor for many years but Hillwood now plans to develop it into a top-notch project that could potentially be used for office space, residential units or mixed-use purposes.

According to Steve Aldrich of Hillwood, this location offers great flexibility for an exceptional development project due its strategic placement within the city. This investment further strengthens Hillwood’s long-standing partnership with Fort Worth which began over three decades ago with their successful development of Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport – a thriving mixed-use complex spanning over 27,000 acres with more than 560 companies contributing $111 billion towards regional economic growth while creating around 66,000 direct jobs.

The property is situated at the entrance of rapidly expanding southern corridor of downtown Ft.Worth. It also shares proximity with Texas A&M University’s campus in Ft.Worth as well as being close to popular attractions like Ft.Worth Convention Center.
